On July 2, 2024, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police received a report of a male in distress in the area of Concession Street and Water Street South in Cambridge.

As a result of the incident, the male was transported to hospital and the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), has invoked its mandate. 

As required by law, no further information can be provided by the Waterloo Regional Police Service at this time.
