WRPS Continue to Investigate Serious Collision in North Dumfries Township

Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is investigating a serious collision in North Dumfries Township.

On June 20, 2024, at approximately 12:50 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Dumfries Road and Greenfield Road.

Through the initial investigation, it was determined that the driver of a motor vehicle was travelling on Greenfield Road when they were struck by the driver of a motor vehicle travelling north on Dumfries Road.

Three individuals were transported to a local hospital with physical injuries, including a 90-year-old female with life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for approximately six hours for the police investigation and has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
