Police Continue to Investigate a Collision on King Street East in Kitchener

WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit is investigating a collision in Kitchener.

On July 18, 2024, at approximately 7:25 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a Jeep and a Mitsubishi on King Street East near Sportsworld Drive.

The driver of the Jeep, a 38-year-old Cambridge male, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, an 83-year-old Kitchener male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger was also transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was partially closed for several hours for the police investigation and has since been reopened.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are anticipated.
