Police Investigating Suspicious Report in Wellesley Township

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

The Waterloo Regional Police have identified a suspicious male from an incident that occurred on September 19, 2024, in Wellesley Township.

As a result of the investigation, on September 22, 2024, officers identified and spoke with the male involved in a suspicious person report. There are no public safety concerns. 

 

PREVIOUS MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a report of a suspicious person in Wellesley Township. 

On September 19, 2024, police received a report that an adult female and a child were approached by an unknown male driving a vehicle in the area of Queens Bush Road and Catherine Street.

The unknown male attempted to engage the child in conversation before driving away.

The involved vehicle is described as a red Kia Sportage.

Investigators would like to identify and speak with the male pictured below in connection to this incident.

There were no reported physical injuries as a result of the incident.
