UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

On July 1, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police received a report of a robbery in Kitchener's Victoria Park.

The victim was assaulted by a group of unknown suspects and had their personal property taken.

One of the suspects brandished a firearm during the incident. The suspects were last seen fleeing the area on foot.

On July 10, 2024, officers arrested and charged a youth in connection to this investigation. The youth was charged with robbery.

One suspect remains unidentified.

This investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a report of a person-on-person robbery in Kitchener.

On July 1, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police received a report of a robbery in Victoria Park.

The victim was assaulted by a group of unknown suspects and had their personal property taken.

There were no physical injuries reported as a result of this incident.
