Police Respond to Serious Pedestrian Collision in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police’s Traffic Services Unit is investigating a pedestrian collision in Cambridge.

On September 29, 2024, at approximately 12:45 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a Toyota motor vehicle and a youth pedestrian on Queen Street East near Flynn Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 5-year-old male, was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening physical injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 64-year-old male from Cambridge, was not injured.

Queen Street East was closed for several hours for the police investigation and has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
