Waterloo Regional Police Arrest a Kitchener Male After a Weapons Call in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police arrested a Kitchener male after a weapons related call in Kitchener.
On June 24, 2024, at approximately 3 p.m., police responded to the area of King Street East and Eby Street North for reports of an unknown male brandishing a knife.
During the investigation police learned the unknown male approached the victim and engaged in a verbal argument. The male’s behavior escalated and made threats to harm the victim while brandishing a knife.
Upon police arrival, the male was located and arrested.
The 43-year-old male was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
There were no reports of any physical injuries.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in July 2024.
