Waterloo Regional Police Arrest a Male After a Disturbance Involving a Firearm in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after a weapons-related call in Kitchener.
On August 31, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Kingsway Drive for reports of a disturbance and a male with a firearm.
Officers responded to the area and located the male in the area of King Street East and Morgan Avenue, where he was arrested.
A prohibited knife and an airsoft gun were located and seized.
The 39-year-old Kitchener male was charged with several offences, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a weapon, and two counts of breaching of a judicial order.
The male was held for a bail hearing.
