Waterloo Regional Police charged a male with multiple offences including three arson charges.

Between June 20 and June 22, 2024, police responded to multiple property damage and arson calls throughout the city of Cambridge.

There we no reports of any physical injuries, however, structures on the properties did receive substantial damage.

Through the investigations, members of the General Investigations Unit were able to identify the male.

A 42-year-old male has been arrested for the following charges:

• Three counts of arson – damage to property
• Break and enter – commit indictable offence
• Mischief under $5000

The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
