Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male Following Retail Theft Investigation in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male and recovered stolen property following a retail theft investigation in Cambridge.
As part of ongoing efforts to address retail thefts, investigators from the South Division Direct Action Response Team, with support from Street Crime Teams in South, North, and Central Divisions, continued an investigation into thefts originally reported to WRPS’ Frontline Support Unit. The investigation focused on two incidents in late January and early February 2026 at a business on Pinebush Road in Cambridge, where high‑value merchandise, including snowblowers, was stolen.
As part of the investigation, on February 12, 2026, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Cambridge and arrested a male. Police recovered a stolen Milwaukee snowblower.
A 49-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with the following offences:
- Theft Under $5,000 (two counts)
- Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000
- Trafficking in Stolen Property Under $5,000
