Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Three Males After a Large Disturbance at a Kitchener Restaurant
Waterloo Regional Police have charged three males after a disturbance in Kitchener.
On August 25, 2024, at approximately 12:10 p.m., police responded to a large disturbance at a restaurant in the area of Fischer Hallman Road and Ottawa Street South.
Three males were inside the restaurant when they began to make racial comments towards patrons inside, including staff. A physical altercation took place with multiple people and police were notified.
There are no reports of any physical injuries.
As a result of the investigation, two 19-year-old Kitchener males and a 17-year-old youth were arrested and charged with the following:
- Two counts of assault
- Mischief – lawful use or enjoyment of property
- Cause disturbance
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a schedule 4 substance for the purpose of trafficking
The 17-year-old male was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unsafe storage of ammunition.
The three males were held for a bail hearing.
