Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Two Youths In Cambridge for Firearm Offences
Waterloo Regional Police have charged two Cambridge youths with firearms offences.
On August 18, 2024, police received a report of two Cambridge youths in possession of firearms. As a result, WRPS’ General Investigations Unit began an investigation.
As a result of the investigation, on August 19, 2024, WRPS’ Emergency Response Team attended a residence in the area of Elgin Street South and arrested two youths.
Various weapons and related items were seized.
The two youths from Cambridge have been charged with several offences, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and careless storage of a firearm.
The investigation is ongoing by WPRS’ General Investigations Unit, and additional charges are anticipated.
The two accused parties were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
