Waterloo Regional Police Complete a High-Risk Arrest for a Kitchener Male
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a Kitchener male and located a replica firearm and drugs.
On July 31, 2024, at approximately 5 p.m., WRPS’ Drugs and Firearms Unit, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, located and arrested a male in the area of Traynor Avenue and Wilson Avenue.
The male was believed to be in possession of a firearm and, to ensure public and officer safety, a high-risk arrest was initiated.
The charges in the case are based on a lengthy investigation into the trafficking of illicit drugs in our community.
The 30-year-old male was found in possession of a replica firearm, controlled substances, and Canadian currency.
The male was charged with five counts of breaching a court order, possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance, and multiple weapon-related charges.
The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
