Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Break and Enter in Waterloo
UPDATED RELEASE
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection to a series of break and enter investigations.
On July 3, 2026, a 25-year-old male from Scarborough was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into multiple residential break and enters.
Investigators determined the accused was allegedly involved in an organized crime group responsible for committing property-related offences throughout southeastern Ontario. Police also learned the accused is facing break and enter-related charges in other jurisdictions.
The arrest was made with the assistance and collaboration of the Ottawa Police Service.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a residential break and enter in Waterloo.
On May 22, 2026, police received a report of a break and enter in the area of Craigleith Drive and Old Post Crossing. The incident is believed to have occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m.
Through the investigation, it was determined that an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the residence during daytime hours and stole property.
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS' Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit.
Investigators are requesting that residents in the area of Craigleith Drive check their home security cameras between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on May 22, 2026, for any suspicious persons or vehicles.
