Waterloo Regional Police Launch Post Positive Campaign in Support of Pink Shirt Day
The Waterloo Regional Police Service is asking the community to think positively, write positively, and post positively in support of Pink Shirt Day on February 25, 2026.
This year’s theme, “Sprinkle Kindness”, reminds everyone that even small acts of kindness help build welcoming spaces in our schools, workplaces, and communities.
Along with wearing pink, the Post Positive campaign encourages individuals, students, and organizations to think kind thoughts about someone and write them down, create a piece of art, send a thoughtful e-mail, or post a kind video.
“Pink Shirt Day is a reminder that kindness is something we can choose every day,” said Mark Crowell, Chief of Police. “When we support one another, we strengthen the communities we live, learn, and work in. This Pink Shirt Day, share a moment of positivity and help create a community where everyone feels valued and respected”.
Want to get your class or community group involved? Request free pink Post-It notes by emailing publicinfo@wrps.on.ca or downloading a printable version, and help your group share positive, uplifting messages. Encourage everyone to write something kind, display their notes proudly, and spread the spirit of Pink Shirt Day. Don’t forget to snap a photo, tag us on social media, and use #PostPositive so we can help share your message of kindness with the community.
Bullying doesn’t have boundaries; it can happen anywhere, including schools, workplaces, homes, and even online. Now more than ever, we need to support one another, look beyond differences, and celebrate what makes us unique.
