WRPS Arrest a Kitchener Male After Barricading Himself for Multiple Hours
WRPS responded to a barricaded person in Kitchener.
On July 16, 2024, at approximately 11:30 a.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Robert Ferrie Drive and Chapel Hill Court for reports of a male in distress.
The male was uttering threats to harm responding officers and barricaded himself within the residence.
Police managed to negotiate the male safely out of the residence and arrested and charged the male for uttering threats to cause death.
There were no physical injuries during the incident.
The 35-year-old Kitchener male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
