WRPS Continue to Investigate after Pride Flag Taken in Woolwich Township

Hate-motivated incident.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after an incident at a residence in Woolwich Township.

On June 8, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a group of youths stole a Pride flag and damaged property at a residence in the area of Arthur Street South and South Street.

The Pride flag was recovered a short distance away from the residence.

The group of youths were described as six to seven individuals, 16 to 17 years old, and were males and females.

Police are treating this as a hate-motivated incident.
