WRPS Continue to Investigate Shooting Incident in Kitchener
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a Kitchener male in connection to a May 30, 2024 shooting investigation.
On May 30, 2024, at approximately 5:50 a.m., police responded to reports of possible gun shots in the area of Courtland Avenue East and Block Line Road.
Through investigation, police determined that an altercation took place nearby between multiple individuals and shots were fired.
On June 10, 2024, at approximately 6 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police General Investigations Unit, along with the Emergency Response Team, completed a search warrant in the area of Morgan Avenue and River Road in Kitchener.
A 29-year-old male was arrested and charged with multiple firearms-related charges.
The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the WRPS' General Investigations Unit and Forensic Identification Unit.
