WRPS Continuing to Investigate Plains Road Collision
Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate a serious collision in Kitchener.
On July 4, 2024, at approximately 1 p.m., emergency services responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Plains Road near Trussler Road.
Through the initial investigation, police determined that a Ford sedan left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.
The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old male, was transported to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Plains Road was closed for several hours for the investigation and hydro pole repair and has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
