Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an assault in Kitchener.

On June 11, 2024, at approximately 5 p.m., a female victim was assaulted by three unknown suspects as she left a store in the area of Highland Road West and Westmount Road. The suspects also made derogatory identity-based comments towards the victim.

The suspects are described as males between 16 and 17 years old.

The victim sustained minor physical injuries as a result of the incident.

This incident is believed to have been hate-motivated.
