WRPS Investigate Stolen Vehicle and Attempt to Identify Outstanding Suspect
The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating after a stolen vehicle was located in Cambridge.
On August 29, 2025, just after 10 a.m., South Division patrol officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Hespeler area. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle, which was occupied by one male passenger.
Through investigation, officers confirmed the vehicle had been stolen from the Greater Toronto Area. The passenger was arrested, while the driver fled the area and was not located.
The outstanding suspect is described as:
Male, brown skin, 20s
Wearing a blue baseball cap, sunglasses, black t-shirt, khaki vest, beige pants, and white shoes
Searches of the area did not result in locating the male. During the investigation it was believed that break and enters may have occurred nearby; however, none have been identified at this time.
Officers determined that the arrested male had provided a false identity. He was found to be wanted by the Ottawa Police Service and was on release conditions at the time of the incident. Once properly identified, he was held for a bail hearing and charged with:
Possession Over $5,000
