WRPS Traffic Services Unit Charge Two Drivers for Stunt Driving Related Offences in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police charged two drivers for stunt driving offences in Cambridge.
On July 9, 2024, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Traffic Services Unit were in the area of Kossuth Rd in the City of Cambridge doing speed enforcement.
At approximately 11 p.m., two vehicles were observed traveling together at a high rate of speed and were stopped. The first vehicle was allegedly traveling at 146 km/hr in the 80 km/hr zone and the second at 150 km/hr in the 80km/hr zone. The two drivers were known to one another.
Both 20-year-old drivers from Kitchener only had Ontario G2 license's which were suspended for 30 days and their vehicles seized for 14 days, these sanctions are mandatory under section 172 of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
