WRPS' Traffic Services Unit Investigating Woolwich Township Collision

Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit (TSU) is continuing to investigate a single motor vehicle collision in Woolwich Township.

On September 29, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision on Sawmill Road near Township Road 30.

Through the initial investigation, police determined that the driver lost control of their motorcycle, left the roadway, and struck a ditch.

The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Woolwich Township male, was transported by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing by TSU investigators.
