Police Investigating Assault on Light Rail Transit in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an assault in Kitchener. 

On September 3, 2024, at approximately 8:10 p.m., the victim was riding the LRT ION train near the Kitchener City Hall station.

The victim was approached by an unknown male, who uttered derogatory comments at her and threw an item at her.

The male is described as white, with an average build and a beard, wearing a white hat and a yellow shirt.

There were no physical injuries sustained.

The investigation is ongoing.
