Emergency services responded to a residential fire in Waterloo.

On August 29, 2024, at approximately 10:10 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a fire at a home in the area of Bridgeport Road East and Ellis Crescent North. 

The fire was extinguished by the Waterloo Fire Rescue.

One resident in the home at the time of the fire was able to exit the residence safely and did not sustain any injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.

Area roadways were closed for the emergency response and have since re-opened.
