WRPS' General Investigations Unit Investigating Suspicious Persons in Waterloo
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have concluded a suspicious person investigation in Waterloo.
As a result of the investigation, on August 17, 2024, WRPS' General Investigations Unit identified and spoke with the males involved in a suspicious person report in the Aspenwood Place and Old Oak Drive. There are no public safety concerns.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a suspicious person report in the Laurelwood area of Waterloo.
On August 16, 2024, around 4 p.m., an older model sedan with a male driver and male passenger approached two children in the area of Aspenwood Place and Old Oak Drive. The males attempted to engage the children in a conversation.
The two males left the area when confronted by the children’s mother.
The two males were described as South Asian, 35–45 years old, with dark hair.
The involved vehicle was described as an older model (1990-2008) Toyota Corolla, light grey or silver.
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
