Waterloo Regional Police Service Board Invites Community Input for 2026 Budget
The Waterloo Regional Police Service Board (PSB) is encouraging residents to once again provide their input and feedback towards the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s (WRPS) upcoming 2026 Budget.
The development of the annual police budget is a key component of the Police Service Board’s mandate under the Community Safety and Policing Act and a critical step in ensuring that future service delivery can meet community expectations. This can only be achieved through open and respectful collaboration with local partners.
“Providing local residents with meaningful opportunities to convey their priorities is extremely important to the Waterloo Regional Police Service Board,” said Chair Ian McLean. “We want to hear from all residents on their ideas, priorities, and vision on how to improve public safety and well-being in the Region of Waterloo.”
The Police Service Board will host two virtual public input sessions on:
- Monday, September 29, 2025, from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
