Police Arrest Suspect Following Break-and-Enter Investigation in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a residential break-and-enter in Kitchener.
On August 25, 2025, an unknown male broke into a residence in the area of Lyndhurst Drive and Burbank Road and stole cash and jewellery.
WRPS’ Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team (BEVT) began an investigation, and, with assistance from an eyewitness, subsequently identified the suspect.
On October 2, 2025, BEVT members, with assistance from Central and North Division Direct Action Response Team officers, conducted a search warrant at a residence in Toronto and arrested the suspect. Officers also determined that the male was wanted on seven separate arrest warrants for similar offences across Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick.
The accused, a 43-year-old male from Toronto, was charged with Break, Enter and Commit Theft, Breach of Release Order, and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team.
