Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male after Robbery at Kitchener Store
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested and charged a male after a robbery at a store in Kitchener.
On July 27, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police responded to a store in the area of Highland Road West and Patricia Avenue for reports of disturbance involving a knife.
Through investigation, police learned that a male suspect brandished a knife and attempted to steal merchandise. There were no physical injuries reported.
As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old male was arrested and charged with the following:
- Robbery with a weapon
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Assault with intent to resist arrest
The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.
