Waterloo Regional Police are Looking to Locate Suspect After Assault in Downtown Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a Kitchener male in relation to an assault from July 24th.

On July 24, 2024, officers responded to an assault in downtown Kitchener where the victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries that required them to go to hospital.

On July 25th, officers located and arrested a 44-year-old male and charged him with aggravated assault, robbery, and dangerous operation of a conveyance.

The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.

Waterloo Regional Police Service are investigating an assault that took place at a business in downtown Kitchener.

On July 24, 2024, at approximately 2:45 p.m., the victim and suspect got into a verbal argument on the street near King Street East and Benton Street.

One male chased the other into a business where he physically assaulted him. The attack resulted in the victim being hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's General Investigations Unit are looking to identify the suspect.
