Police Arrest Two Individuals, Seize Multiple Drugs and Weapons in Kitchener
Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Drugs and Firearms Unit have arrested two individuals after a drug investigation in Kitchener.
On July 18, 2024, police completed a search warrant at a motel in the area of Weber Street East and Kinzie Avenue.
Investigators seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, prescriptions pills and currency. Multiple weapons were also seized including brass knuckles, a sword, a knife and machetes.
As a result of the investigation, a 47-year-old male and a 43-year-old female, both from Kitchener, were arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts)
- Possession of suspected morphine
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of identity documents
The male was also charged with Breach of Prohibition Order.
Both individuals were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
