WRPS Charge a Waterloo Male for Impaired Charges After a Collision Involving a Kitchener Residence

Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges after a motor vehicle crashed into the side of a house in Kitchener. 

On October 4, 2024, at approximately 3:25 a.m., police observed a vehicle driving northbound on Fischer-Hallman Road, in the southbound lanes.  Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop, however, police lost sight of the vehicle as it left at a high rate of speed.  

Police received a call that the same vehicle had crashed into the side of a house near Uplands Drive and Forest Hill Drive in Kitchener.  Police removed the driver of the vehicle before the vehicle caught on fire.

There were no reports of any physical injuries.

As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 30-year-old Waterloo male, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Impaired operation of a motor vehicle (by alcohol)
  • Flight from a peace officer
  • Dangerous Operation
