WRPS Investigating Weapons Incident in Woolwich Township
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a youth in connection to a weapons incident in Woolwich Township.
On September 24, 2024, at approximately 6:50 p.m., police received a report of an individual struck by an unidentified projectile in the Bristow Creek Drive and Raising Mill Gate area.
The victim, a 43-year-old female from Woolwich Township, was walking her dog when a projectile, possibly a pellet or a BB, struck her.
On October 1, 2024, a 14-year-old youth from Woolwich Township turned himself into police.
The youth was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

On September 24, 2024, at approximately 6:50 p.m., police received a report of an individual struck by an unidentified projectile in the Bristow Creek Drive and Raising Mill Gate area.
The victim, a 43-year-old female from Woolwich Township, was walking her dog when a projectile, possibly a pellet or a BB, struck her.
Local residents provided first aid to the victim, who then received treatment at a local hospital for minor physical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
