WRPS Continuing to Investigate Distraction Theft in Waterloo

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate a distraction theft in Waterloo.

On September 20, 2024, at approximately 11 a.m., two unknown individuals attended a business at Conestoga Mall located on King Street North.

Through the investigation, it was determined that an unknown female distracted the employee while the unknown male stole a box of cell phones.

The suspects exited the mall and were last seen leaving the area in a dark coloured SUV.

Investigators are looking to identify and speak to the two individuals pictured below in connection to this incident.

There were no reports of any physical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
