Polie Arrest Two Youth Following Weapons Incident in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have charged two youths in connection with a weapons incident in Kitchener.
On July 25, 2026, at approximately 7:50 p.m., police responded to reports of a male brandishing a knife at a public pool on Woodside Avenue.
Officers arrived and arrested the suspects.
As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old youth from Waterloo was charged with:
- Utter Threats to cause death or bodily harm
A second 17-year-old youth from Waterloo was charged with:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon
- Assault with a weapon (two counts)
Both accused for were held for a bail hearing.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
