Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate two residential break-and-enters in Cambridge

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Break Enter, Vehicle Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Team are investigating two residential break-and-enters that occurred on April 16th, 2026.

At approximately 11:30a.m., a break and enter occurred in the area of Highgrove Court and Dickie Settlement Road in Cambridge.  Less than an hour later, the suspects attended a residence in the area of Robert Ferrie Drive and Thomas Slee Drive in Kitchener. During this break in, the homeowner returned while the suspects were still inside the residence. The suspects fled on foot. 

Investigators are requesting residents in the area of Robert Ferrie Drive, Thomas slee Drive, Pieter Vos Drive and Blair Creek Drive to review their home surveillance between the hours of 12pm - 2pm on April 16th 2026. The males were seen running on foot and changing clothing. 

WRPS’ Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team is asking residents to consider the following tips to help prevent break-ins:

  • Keep doors and windows locked, even when home
  • Keep valuables out of common areas and out of plain sight
  • Install audible noise alarm systems
  • Secure residences with home video surveillance cameras in the front and back of the residence
  • Notify neighbours when away for an extended period and arrange to have someone check on your residence
  • Report any suspicious persons or vehicles to police
