Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Serious Collision in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a serious two-vehicle collision in Cambridge.
On April 19, 2026, at approximately 11:45 a.m., emergency services responded to a collision involving an Audi sport utility vehicle and a Honda sedan at the intersection of Elgin Street North and Ferguson Avenue.
The driver of the Honda, a 37-year-old Cambridge male, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. Two children who were passengers in the Honda were also transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Audi, a 72-year-old male, was not reported injured.
The intersection was closed for several hours while members of the Traffic Services Unit conducted an investigation.
As a result of the investigation, the 37-year-old male was charged with improper signal and two counts of fail to properly secure child passenger. The 72-year-old Audi driver was charged with fail to yield to through traffic on a highway.
