Waterloo Regional Police Respond for a Suspicious Person Call and Arrest a Waterloo Male
Waterloo Regional Police arrested a Waterloo male after a suspicious person call in Waterloo.
On November 8, 2024, at approximately 4 a.m., police responded to the area of Buttercup Court after receiving reports of a suspicious male.
Upon police arrival, the male was identified and found to be breaching previous court conditions. When officers attempted to arrest the male, he fled into a residence.
Members of North Division Neighbourhood Policing continued to negotiate with the male resulting in him exiting the residence safely where he was arrested.
There were no reports of any physical injuries.
The 23-year-old male was charged with fail to comply with undertaking, assault peace officer with attempt to resist, obstruct peace officer, and mischief under $5,000.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
