WRPS Continue to Investigate Sexual Assault Incident in Waterloo
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a male in connection to two sexual assaults in Waterloo.
On November 2, 2024, two female victims were sexually assaulted by a male in separate incidents.
On November 8, 2024, WRPS Special Victims Unit investigators arrested the male after locating him in the area of King Street North and Ezra Street in Waterloo.
The male, a 28-year-old from Kitchener, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
The Waterloo Regional Police Service would like to thank members of the public and multiple businesses for their cooperation and assistance with this investigation.

Waterloo Regional Police are seeking assistance with two ongoing sexual assault investigations in Waterloo.
On November 2, 2024, at approximately 2 a.m., an adult female was sexually assault by an unknown male while in the lobby of a residential building in the area of Sunview Street and University Avenue West.
A short time later, at approximately 2:35 a.m, the same unknown male sexually assaulted another female victim in the area of King Street North and Ezra Street. The victim was able to get away from the male, who was last seen walking towards the downtown area of Waterloo.
No physical injuries were sustained by either victim.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 20-40 years old, 5'5", with a medium build and an accent.
Investigators would like to speak to the male pictured below in connection to these incidents.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a sexual assault incident in Waterloo.
On November 2, 2024, at approximately 2 a.m., an adult female was sexually assault by an unknown male while in the lobby of a residential building in the area of Sunview Street and University Avenue West.
The victim was walking when she realized that she was being followed by the male. The victim ran into a building and was chased by the male and sexually assaulted. The victim broke free, and the male fled the area.
The suspect was described as a Black male, approximately 20 to 30 years-old, 5’5’ with a medium build.
Investigators would like to identify and speak with the male pictured below in connection to this incident.

No physical injuries were sustained by the victim.
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Special Victims Unit.
