WRPS Investigating Collision Involving Skateboarder in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic Services Unit is investigating a collision involving a skateboarder in Waterloo.

On October 18, 2024, at approximately 8:25 p.m., emergency services responded to the area of Ezra Avenue and Albert Street for reports of a collision involving a Dodge motor vehicle and a skateboarder.

The skateboarder, a 22-year-old Waterloo male, was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge, a 46-year-old male from Kitchener, did not sustain any physical injuries.

The intersection was partially closed for several hours for the police investigation.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit, and charges are anticipated.
