Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a Cambridge male after a sexual assault investigation.

On September 13, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., police received a report of a sexual assault in the area of Water Street North and Samuelson Street.

A female was walking on Water Street North just north of Samuelson Street when she was approached by an unknown male who sexually assaulted her.

On November 6, 2024, police attended a residence in the area of Mercer Road and Samuelson Street in Cambridge where a 37-year-old male was arrested and charged with sexual assault, criminal harassment, and assault.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

On September 13, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., police received a report of a sexual assault in the area of Water Street North and Samuelson Street.

The male is described as White, 25 to 40 years old, approximately 5’8" tall, with a thin build, wearing a black zip-up hoodie and blue jeans. The male was riding a black electric scooter.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Special Victims Unit.
