Arrest Made in Cambridge Robbery Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges after an armed robbery in Cambridge.
On August 9, 2025, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of robbery in the area of Samuelson Street.
A victim reported that a mobility scooter from had been stolen from a backyard by a male subject, who brandished a firearm and threatened to kill the victim when he attempted to intervene. The suspect fled the area on foot.
Responding officers located and arrested the individual a short time later. The firearm was determined to be an imitation firearm.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with several criminal offences, including:
Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
Robbery with a Firearm
Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Mischief under $5,000
Disguise with Intent
Point Firearm
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
