Emergency Services Respond to Two-Vehicle Collision in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police’s Traffic Services Unit has laid charges after a two-vehicle collision in Cambridge.
On October 22, 2024, at approximately 10:45 a.m., emergency services responded to a collision in the area of Dundas Street South and Branchton Road.
A Lexus on Branchton Road attempted to make a left-turn onto Dundas Street South and crossed into the path of and struck a Kia SUV. The Kia then stuck a hydro pole, resulting in a vehicle fire and damage to the pole.
The driver of the Lexus, an 81-year-old female from Hamilton, was transported to a local hospital with minor physical injuries.
The driver of the Kia did not sustain any physical injuries.
The intersection of Dundas Street South and Branchton Road remains closed for hydro pole repairs.
The Lexus driver was charged with failing to yield to traffic under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
