Impaired Driving Charges Laid Following Serious Collision in Kitchener
Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic Services Unit are investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Kitchener.
On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at approximately 9:55 p.m., emergency services responded to a collision on Doon Village Road, north of Pioneer Drive. The collision involved a Toyota vehicle, driven by a 62-year-old Kitchener man, and a Mazda vehicle, driven by a 35-year-old Kitchener man.
Through investigation, it was determined that the Mazda crossed the center line and collided with the Toyota. Both drivers were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The driver of the Mazda was arrested at the scene and has been charged with the following offences:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired – 80 Plus
- Dangerous Operation
The investigation remains ongoing by members of the Traffic Services Unit.
