North Division Officers Investigating Assault
Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate an assault in Waterloo.
On June 29, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., the victim was seated on a bench on King Street South near Willis Way when an unknown male threw a lit firework out of a passing truck onto the victim’s lap. The vehicle did not stop and continued towards the Uptown core area.
The male suspect was in the front passenger seat of a black truck. He is described as a White male wearing a white hat and a black t-shirt.
No physical injuries were sustained as a result of this incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
