Police are Investigating an Armed Robbery in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating a robbery involving multiple suspects in the City of Waterloo.

On October 31, 2025, at approximately 2 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Waterloo Town Square. The victim was walking through a nearby parking lot when they were chased and struck by a suspect vehicle. Two of the suspects were seen brandishing firearms, and one male struck the victim over the head with a firearm before stealing the victim’s property.

The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as South Asian males in their early twenties, wearing masks at the time of the incident. Police believe there were between two and five individuals involved.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has surveillance or dash camera footage from the area to contact the Waterloo Regional Police Service at 519-570-9777.
