Police Arrest and Charge Waterloo Male in Child Exploitation Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a Waterloo male as part of an investigation involving child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
In May 2026, WRPS’ Cybercrime-Internet Child Exploitation Unit conducted an investigation involving the luring of children, making child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
On June 10, 2026, investigators completed a search warrant at a residence in Waterloo. As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old Waterloo male was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Child Sexual Assault and Exploitation Material
- Making Child Sexual Assault and Exploitation Material
- Luring a Child with a Telecommunication Device
- Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. This initiative is supported by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
