Police Arrest Cambridge Male Following Robbery and Assault Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male following a robbery and assaults at a grocery store in Cambridge.
On October 23, 2025, at approximately 11:05 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance at a business located on Dundas Street North and Main Street.
Through investigation, officers determined that the male had stolen merchandise from the store and assaulted an employee who attempted to intervene before fleeing the store.
The male returned a short time later and assaulted another employee at the entrance of the store. The male then fled the area again.
Officers located the male nearby and placed him under arrest. The male became combative during the arrest and assaulted officers.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with several offences, including:
- Robbery
- Assault with a Weapon
- Assault Peace Officer (two counts)
- Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
- Mischief Under $5,000
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
