Police Arrest Five Suspects Following Robbery in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police have charged five suspects after a robbery in Cambridge.
On March 21, 2026, at approximately 7 p.m., police received a report of a disturbance in the area of Acorn Way and Bowie Drive.
A group of suspects assaulted the victim and sprayed them with bear spray. The suspects then stole the victims’ personal belongings before fleeing the area. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Officers responded and arrested four of the suspects on Glamis Road near Macatee Place. A fifth suspect jumped a nearby fence while attempting to flee from officers and was arrested after a brief foot pursuit.
As a result of the investigation, four youths’ ages 14, 14, 15, and 16, all from Cambridge were arrested and charged with numerous offences, including:
- Carrying concealed weapon
- Assault with a weapon
- Robbery
- Disguise with intent
- Possession counterfeit money
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Administer noxious thing with intent to aggrieve or annoy
An 18-year-old Brantford male was also arrested and charged with:
- Robbery
- Assault with a weapon
- Carrying concealed weapon
- Disguise with intent
The involved individuals are known to each other, and it is believed to have been a targeted incident.
The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
