Police Arrest Four Individuals after Firearm Brandished in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested four individuals following a weapons incident in Cambridge.
On June 13, 2026, at approximately 10:55 p.m., police responded to a parking lot on Franklin Boulevard near Can-Amera Parkway after five male victims were confronted by a group of suspects wearing face coverings. A verbal argument ensured, during which one of the suspects brandished a firearm.
The victims fled in their vehicles, but the suspects pursued them in a separate vehicle. The vehicles stopped on Elgin Street North, where the suspects got out and damaged the victim’s vehicle.
The suspects fled the scene and were located by officers a short distance away and taken into custody. The victims reported no physical injuries.
Three youths, a 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds, all from Cambridge, along with an 18-year-old Waterloo male, are facing the following charges:
- Weapons dangerous
- Assault with a weapon
- Mischief under $5,000
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
The accused were held for a bail hearing.
